Areas where the advertisement can take place
Mise en Scène
Locations
Regarding location ideas, there are a plethora of places I can choose. However, because of it being based around the region of Essex, that slims down the potential ideas to something reasonable. In my opinion, for a first and main choice, I am planning to head into town and take a photo in the centre of the shopping district. This gives a lot of legroom for choice in the other three categories, especially in how I could be able to take the photos. Furthermore, I believe that using the centre of commerce of my area successfully represents Essex in a positive light. I could also take photos within a food store with the store's permission, saying it's for a media project. If so, the store would be credited in the evaluation. Using a store would work well because of the link toward food in Essex.
Scene
When considering the scene, it would be helpful if the day was bright and sunny, with a lot of activity surrounding the photo, making the scene seem bustling and full of life. To get these effects, I will be using different techniques with my camera, like changing the exposure via ISO and shutter speed to improve lighting. Moreover, using a long exposure by raising shutter speed would create a more-blurred effect of any movement, so anyone passing by the model would be blurred out. However, this would require the model to be still for a while, from 2 seconds to a minute depending on if the brightness is impacted significantly or not.
Models
There are a variety of ways to use models in the scenes. Firstly, they'll need to be wearing clothing which fits Essex. While personally I'm not particularly comfortable following stereotypes on gender and region, to fit the brief and improve the photos I'll be using stereotypes for typical Essex men and women. For one of the photos, I'll be using someone wearing a tracksuit in the town, with one of the props that matches the scene. Another might be some sort of alternate (the genre not the word) clothing style, with the individual in a grunge setting to match the grunge clothing. They might also be using another prop.
Props
Props are what make a photo. There are so many different things which go into a scene, but it's incomplete without props. To start, using a phone would be good for a prop. The phone could be used to show an app based on YourFood, with it loading to show that there is a way to use the product. Furthermore, some food could be used as well as some sort of brand to show an advertisement of the brand, as if they are partnered with the YourFood product. For example, using a burger from a brand with a tagline saying some sort of social media code.
